DeKalb Animal Hospital offers safe, advanced surgical techniques and technology to pets residing in Fort Payne, and other communities in DeKalb and Jackson Counties. We perform routine surgical services including spay/neuters for cats and dogs, a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries such as biopsies, exploratory surgeries, and tumor removals. We also perform c-sections and emergency laceration repair.
To ensure your pet’s safety during a procedure, we perform a physical examination and recommend pre-surgical blood work to check for any abnormalities or conditions that may be problematic. Anesthesia is tailored specifically for each individual pet and is administered both pre- and post-surgery. Many surgeries do not require general anesthesia but can be done using sedation and a local anesthetic.
Your pet’s health is our top priority, and we want to make sure that all our patients receive the best possible outcome. We monitor vital signs throughout the stages of surgery and recovery.
Whether your pet is of the age to be spayed or neutered or needs a different surgical procedure, the veterinarians and staff at DeKalb Animal Hospital are here for you and your pet.
